Basic activities

1. Development of new inorganic materials for different applications: power industry, electronics, analytical devices, monitoring of the environment, etc.

(a) Development of high-temperature molecular gas filters from porous ceramics based on aluminum-magnesuim (chromium) spinel; as an example, the photo demonstrates the example of the ceramic filter for the separation of СО-Н2 gas mixture at 1200 °C.

(b) Development of the ceramic porous filters based on alumina for the osmotic water cleaning (see the example in the photo).

(c) Manufacturing of borosilicate and phosphate glasses for specific applications

(d) Development of new materials based on ZrO2, HfO2, Ce2O3, Y2O3, b-Al2O3 for high temperature gas sensors

(e) development of the technologies for the manufacturing of non-shrinkable Al-based cermets and construction ceramics, containing SiC, BN, Si3N4, AlB2, AlN, TiN, etc) for gas turbines and other engines, see photo.

(f) Development of underwater sensors for marine applications based on cermets for sensor applications (contain g-Al2O3, boehmite, Ag, Au, Pt and Pd), see photo.

(g) Development of hydrogen storage elements based on MgH
